These data are updated expert model outputs for Yuma clapper rail (
Rallus
longirostris yumanensis
) species distribution for DRECP, completed by Dudek.
Documentation from Dudek:
Freshwater
marsh vegetation types and open water were selected since the Yuma clapper
rail breeds in freshwater marsh habitats. Because the recovery plan also says
this species occurs in areas with a mix of trees, including willow (Salix
spp.) and tamarisk, riparian forest and introduced scrub habitats were also
selected. The model was restricted geographically by selecting only the
watersheds where this species has been known to occur.
Removed Salton Sea Open Water; kept other open water.
Please see attached Excel document for information on the parameters Dudek used to create this expert model.
