Sub-regions for Klamath Large, High-severity Fire Risk Modeling

Jun 19, 2019 (Last modified Jul 1, 2019)
Description:

We delineated four model sub-regions to better capture finer scale regional patterns in large high-severity fire risk by grouping ecoregional subsections or portions of subsections into 4 larger sub-regions based on ecological and climatic similarities, while also maintaining adequate fire data sample sizes within each. Source of ecoregional subsections: Ecological Subregions: Sections and Subsections for the Conterminous United States, USDA - Forest Service ECOMAP Team, 2007.
