Description:
The SANDAG's Conserved Lands data is used to develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of land in the region that is conserved for the purpose of protecting open space and natural habitats, including lands inside and outside of NCCP areas. Conserved lands are those lands that are legally conserved to: Protect natural habitats, species, and open space (including agricultural lands that are important components of the regional habitat preserve design); Contribute to the existing and planned regional habitat preserve system; and Managed to protect the open space or natural resources into the future.
