Landscape-Scale Conservation Plans

The Puget Sound and Georgia Basin, sometimes called the Salish Sea, is an environmentally complex region that is significantly impacted by human development, encompassing major metropolis regions. Thus, it has been the focus of several major planning and science initiatives.

NOAA has produced the Environmental Response Management Application (ERMA) to disseminate spatial data to support planning.

The Puget Sound Partnership is an effort that provides an Action Plan that is the "region's shared roadmap for Puget Sound recovery. The plan outlines the regional strategies and specific actions needed to protect and restore Puget Sound. The Action Agenda is a collective effort that is informed by science and guides effective investment in Puget Sound protection and restoration. "
