Description:
Data layers show the projected percent change (relative to historical conditions, 1970-1999) in the number heavy precipitation days, defined as the annual count of days with at least 10 mm of precipitation. Data layers show the projected percent change in heavy precipitation days for two time periods: the 2050s (2040-2069) and the 2080s (2070-2099); and three climate models: a high (CanESM2), median (CNRM-CM5), and low (CCSM4), under a high emissions scenario (RCP 8.5). Projected change in the number of heavy precipitation days are depicted by the yellow to green shading.
