Wildfire Fuels Model | Sierra National Forest 30m

Aug 30, 2023 (Last modified Dec 11, 2023)
Description:

This dataset displays the output of a model depicting "burn severity vulnerability" for Sierra National Forest in the Sierra Nevada region of California at a resolution of 30m. Due to the size of the original model, a raster output was created - this does not allow for the EEMS functionality within Data Basin, to view the full model via EEMS Online, click here.

Inputs for this model include:

  1. Proportion of Maximum Stand Density Index (Zeide Calculations)

  2. Snag Density (20-29.9" dbh)

  3. Snag Density (30-39.9" dbh)

  4. Snag Density (>40" dbh)

  5. Canopy Cover (%)

  6. Canopy Height (m)

  7. Tree to Shrub Ratio

  8. Standing Dead and Ladder Fuels (Short tons/acre)

  9. Total Dead/Down Fuels (Short tons/acre)
