Scenic Corridors

Sep 27, 2016 (Last modified Apr 18, 2017)
Description:
Scenic Corridors, Santa Barbara County, California.

This dataset represents scenic corridors in Santa Barbara County.

Santa Barbara County’s Coastal Zoning Ordinance defines a “Scenic Highway Corridor” as “a corridor of land that extends 2,000 feet outward from the right-of-way lines of any state-designated scenic highway”. The 2000-ft. buffer layer in this dataset represents a general location for these corridors and was created from the centerlines of the state-designated scenic highways.

The ERME Scenic Corridors layer reflects the extents of the Scenic Corridors that are shown on the adopted ERME (Environmental Resources Management Element) maps, available here.
