Les territoires de Congo (territories of Congo)

Jan 11, 2011 (Last modified May 14, 2011)
Description:

Boundaries of the third level administrative units of the Democratic Republic of Congo: the rural territories and urban communities.

These data were digitized by UNOCHA from the atlas of the administrative organizations of the Democratic Republic of Congo by father Leon de Saint Moulin. The territory boundaries are defined by waterways, geometry and subdividions. A topological validation was done by UNDP and the community boundaries of Kinshasa were added. The collection of communities and of 19 other cities were cut into the middle of a single polygon. The toponomy was validated by the INS.
