Description:
This layer depicts areas which have been designated (per the requirements of Section 368 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005) as West-wide energy corridors in Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service management plans in connection with the final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement, Designation of Energy Corridors on Federal Land in the 11 Western States, November 2008, and subsequently identified as corridors of concern by the plaintiffs in a lawsuit following designation of the Section 368 corridors. The nature of the concern is briefly stated in the settlement agreement reached by the participants. See http://corridoreis.anl.gov/news/index.cfm#settlement for more information.
