Seafloor Geology (GLORIA)

Apr 25, 2017
Description:
The GLORIA image of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) off California, Oregon, and Washington covers about 830,000 square kilometers (sq km) of sea floor. Many geologic features visible on the imagery are representative of a tectonically active continental margin: volcanic ridges and seamounts, faults, crustal lineaments, channels, levees, slump scars, large sediment bedforms, and varying sediment types. This data layer provides a geologic interpretation of the Geologic LO-Range Inclinded Asdic (GLORIA) data for the U.S. Pacific Coast.
