Montana Blue and Red Ribbon Streams

May 6, 2010
Description:
The fisheries resource value was determined using data from the Montana Rivers Information System (MRIS) last updated in 1998 by MFWP and federal land management fisheries biologists. The sport fishery value was determined by an assessment of fish abundance, fishing pressure, esthetics and ingress. These values and their associated data were reviewed by MFWP fisheries biologists and regional managers prior to release of the final sport fishery value.
