Development Focus Areas (DFA) and Variance Process Lands, DRECP Proposed LUPA and Final EIS, Alternative 4

Oct 29, 2015 (Last modified Nov 12, 2015)
Description:
This dataset displays BLM proposed designations on BLM land for renewable energy Development Focus Areas (DFAs), and Variance Process Lands in Alternative 4 of the DRECP Proposed LUPA and Final EIS

These proposed designations identify specific land areas with high quality renewable energy resources (wind, solar, and geothermal) where renewable energy projects may be proposed for development.  The proposed LUPA provides specific incentives to encourage development in designated DFAs, and also outlines the process by which the designated Variance Process Lands would be considered for potential renewable energy project development.
