Landcover Change in the Klamath Siskiyou -1970s to 1990s

Oct 5, 2010 (Last modified Oct 27, 2010)
Dataset was scientifically peer reviewed
Description:
Satellite remote sensing data were used to examine the rates and patterns of coniferous forest landscape change over a 20-yr period within the Klamath-Siskiyou ecoregion with special attention to land ownership. For those studies that considered ownership as a factor, including several in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, variations in landscape pattern and process were described with important forest management implications (Spies et al. 1994, Cohen et al. 1995, Turner et al. 1996).
