This datasets is an update of California from PAD-US (CBI Edition) Version 2.1. PAD-US (CBI Edition) Version 2.1 is a national database of protected fee lands in the United States. PAD-US (CBI Edition) Version 2.1 is limited to the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii. It does not include protected areas data for U.S. territories at this time.

PAD-US (CBI Edition) Version 2.1a includes updates on National Forest Lands, National Monument (including Berryessa Snow National Monument, Castle Mountains National Monument, Mojave Trails National Monument, and Sand to Snow National Monument), State Lands, Local Lands and Private Conservation Lands.
