Time-enabled Fire History from 1980-2010 for the United States

Description:
Occurrence points and federal fire history reports by date and organization: 1980 - 2011 DOI (BIA, BLM, BOR, NPS), USFWS, and USFS. 

Layer displays only fires that burned over 100 acres and is time-enabled based on the "Year_Date" field.

NO ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO DETERMINE THE ACCURACY OF THE LATITUDE/LONGITUDE COORDINATES OF THE REPORTS THAT FELL WITHIN THE LAND BOUNDARIES OF THE US AS DEPICTED IN THE STATESP020 SHAPEFILE FROM THE USGS NATIONAL ATLAS. THEREFORE THE USER IS CAUTIONED TO EXAMINE THE ACCURACY OF THE LOCATION OF THE DATA BEFORE UTILIZING IT IN ANY GIS ANALYSIS.
