Description:
Wildlands Network Designs for the Western Wildway. These data represent the results of 5 analyses merged into one dataset. These analysis aimed to create maps of functional ecoregional plans for: The Sky Islands, New Mexico Highlands, Grand Canyon Ecoregion, Southern Rockies Ecoregion, and the Heart of the West. They all used SITES or MARXAN software to design an ecoregional plan with a three track approach: 1) Key habitats and linkages for focal species, 2) Natural Community Diversity via vegetation representation and 3) Special Elements. They resulted in the identification of cores, compatible use areas and linkages.
