This polygon layer consists of California Spotted Owl Habitat Areas
within the Herger-Feinstein Quincy Library Group (QLG) pilot project
area. The pilot project is being implemented over approximately 1.5
million acres across the Lassen and Plumas National Forest and the
Sierraville District of the Tahoe National Forest. The project is
designed to test and demonstrate the effectiveness of fuels and
vegetation management activities to meet ecologic, economic, and fuel
reduction objectives.
