Description:
Amazon Biome sensu WWF
The Amazon Biome is roughly equivalent of the (usually called) Amazon Rainforest (Floresta Amazônica or Amazônia, in Portuguese and Selva Amazónica o Amazonía in Spanish)
The Amazon Biome is mainly a moist broadleaf forest but can also include other vegetation physiognomies like swamp forests and flooded forest, savannas, grasslands and bamboo mixed forests among others.
