The data displayed here show general crop types across Santa Barbara County (vineyards, orchards, row crops, greenhouses, and undefined cropland).

The data (2016) was produced from the Santa Barbara County Agricultural Commissioner's pesticide use reporting data available for download in raw form here. All available years were used and joined by commodity, site id, and permit number to identify broad categories of cropland. Areas of undefined cropland were identified by the California Department of Conservation's Farmland Mapping and Monitoring Program using 2014 data.
