Description:
Colonel Arnold's Expedition Route (Kennebec River to Lac Megantic in 1775)

Prepared by Stephen Engle (Center for Community GIS) for the Maine Land Use Regualtion Commission. The route is primarily mapped to water.

Flagstaff Lake was created in 1950. The line through the lake follows the old course of the Dead River based on old USGS topos (hence all the meanders)

It is important to note that this is not a trail at this time, but rather a corridor of interest. There is an active planning effort underway right now to layout a proposed terrestrial trail.
