Description:
The RMU_UNIT feature class depicts the boundaries of the range allotments, general resource areas, and wild horse and burro territories on the Tonto National Forest and is part of the USFS Southwestern Region Core Data Project. This project is designed to generate and maintain 15 vertically integrated resource data layers which are standardized across the Southwestern Region. This dataset was obtained by CBI from the Tonto National Forest GIS Webpage without metadata.  Metadata  was copied from the metadata record prepared for the Prescott National Forest to this record as appropriate.

Comparison with other data sets for the same area from other time periods may be inaccurate due to inconsistencies resulting from changes in photo interpretation, rounding of decimal coordinates during conversion, and mapping conventions over time.
