The IBA boundaries should not be perceived as absolute, definite boundaries. Rather, the boundaries should be considered approximates of the critical habitat areas. Comprehensive site specific surveys have not been conducted for each IBA, therefore, the data provided in this release cannot be relied on as a definitive statement of the presence or absence of all species at a given location. These data should not be considered a substitute for on-site surveys that may be required for an environmental assessment, environmental impact statement, or conservation planning. The information and data associated with the boundaries are continually growing as new data are acquired. Therefore, the data released may become outdated.
