Description:
This layer package illustrates the boundaries of Saipan's Marine Protected Areas, primary watersheds, and contaminated sites within watersheds. The data is current as of December 2014, although contaminated sites are under varying states of remediation.

The package allows identification of protected waters that have potentially hazardous point-source inputs from their respective watersheds.

This dataset was created by the CNMI Division of Coastal Resources Management's planning staff.  Individual layers were authored by the CNMI Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality's Toxics Branch, Non-Point Source Branch, and Marine Monitoring Team.
