Frontières des pays d'Afrique Centrale (countries of central Africa)

Le thème présente les frontières terrestres nationales des pays d'Afrique Centrale à l'échelle 1:1 000 000. Les données sources proviennent du projet FORAF, ayant pris appuis essentiellement sur le " Digital Chart of the World " (DCW), produit du National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), autrefois appelé National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA). Les données sources ont été modifiées dans le but de produire l'Atlas Forestier Interactif du Gabon - Version Pilote. Notamment, les frontières du Gabon ont été raffinées par le World Resources Institute en utilisant une couche SIG des frontières du Gabon, produite par l'Institut National de Cartographie (INC). La couche SIG résultant de ces améliorations apportées dans le but de produire l'atlas ne doit en aucun cas tenir lieu de source officielle dans la résolution de conflits territoriaux.

This dataset represents the boundaries of countries in central Africa at the 1:1,000,000 scale. The source data were provided by FORAF, originally taken from the Digital Chart of the World, produced by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA), otherwise known as the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA). The source data were modified to produce the Interactive Forest Atlas of Gabon pilot version. Notably, the borders of Gabon were refined by the World Resource Institute. The data resulting from these improvements is used in the Interactive Forest Atlas of Gabon, but is not in any case to be taken in place of official sources in the resolution of territorial conflicts.
