A map set of Rodrigues Island, Mauritius relating to geomorphological features and conservation targets including rare species point locations and species habitat. It is a test example of citizen science based conservation.
This package contains layers regarding conservation targets on Rodrigues Island, Mauritius including native habitat, point locations for Rodrigues Warbler, habitat for Rodrigues fruit bat and fody. The set also contains layers for geology, rivers, caves, peaks, and 100 meter contour lines. The set contains established conservation boundaries and national park boundaries. Finally, there is a proposed set of terrestrial conservation boundaries proposed by the author, Dean Walton / University of Oregon, based on his experience creating conservation boundaries with the Nature Conservancy and the Virginia and West Virginia Natural Heritage Programs.
