The Southern Rockies Landscape Conservation Cooperative (SRLCC) is a self-directed, landscape-scale partnership supporting and enhancing on-the-ground conservation efforts through production and dissemination of applied science for natural and cultural resource management decision makers. The SRLCC encompasses more than 127 million acres across 5 states: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming; and 31 federally recognized Tribes. This area is geographically complex; from 14,000 foot peaks to the Grand Canyon and cold desert basins. The SRLCC Mission is: Integrate science and management expertise to support sustainable outcome-based conservation delivery; facilitate landscape-scale conservation and adaptive management; identify priority science issues and needs; develop spatially-explicit resource management goals; provide scientific decision support for measurable outcomes; participate as part of a seamless national network of LCCs focused on meeting the shared needs of partner organizations; and coordinate with USGS Climate Science Centers on climate science needs and information transfer.
