CCAP Wetlands 96-06

This map service presents spatial information about the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) land cover data in the Web Mercator projection. The service was developed as part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Coastal Services Center’s C-CAP Land Cover Atlas. NOAA provides the information “as-is” and shall incur no responsibility or liability as to the completeness or accuracy of this information. These spatial data layers highlight any pixel in the 30-meter spatial resolution bi-variate C-CAP thematic land cover rasters that experienced wetland changes (i.e., gains or losses) during the 1996-2006 time periods. A wetland “gain” refers to pixels that changed from a developed (i.e., high intensity, medium intensity, low intensity, and open space), agricultural (i.e., cultivated crops and pasture/hay), barren-land, or open-water class in 1996 to a wetland class in 2006. Conversely, a wetland “loss” refers to pixels that changed from a wetland class in 1996 to a developed, agricultural, barren land, or open water class in 2006. The Coastal Services Center will make every effort to provide continual access to this service but it may need to be taken down during routine IT maintenance or in case of an emergency.
