Mountain and Boreal Woodland Caribou (forest-dwelling ecotype) Occurrence in Canada

Description:
This dataset was compiled by the NBCTSC and illustrates the occurrence of woodland caribou (Rangifer tarandus caribou, forest-dwelling ecotype) across Canada as depicted in the Draft National Recovery Strategy, based on information provided by provincial and territorial jurisdictions (Environment Canada 2007). There are three woodland caribou populations identified: Northern Mountain, Southern Mountain, and Boreal.
