Coefficient of Variation for Climate Moisture Index, 1950-2000

Jul 1, 2010
Description:
This dataset depicts the Coefficient of Variation for Climate Moisture Index (CMI CV) indicator for the globe on a 0.5 X 0.5 degree global grid. The CMI CV illustrates time varying fluctuations bit intra- and inter-annual in the relationship between plant water demand and available precipitation. The CMI CV indicator is computed as:

CMI CV = StdDev(CMI) / Mean(CMI)

Where StdDev(CMI) = standard deviation of the CMI over the 51yr time series (1950-2000) per grid cell; Mean(CMI) = mean annual CMI over the 51 yr time series per grid cell.

The data is in ESRI GRID raster format.
