- This is a point dataset representing 10,044 sequential mile
positions of navigable inland waterways and the Gulf
Intracoastal Waterway. These data were developed as the result
of a joint effort of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers/CEWRC,
Navigation Data Center and the Defense Mapping Agency using
the USACE district chart books, USGS 1:24000 topographic
quadrangle maps and NOAA nautical charts of varying scales.
