Description:
AdaptWest Project. 2015. Gridded climatic velocity data for North America at 1km resolution. Available at adaptwest.databasin.org
Data Provided By:
Ensemble forward velocity modelled for 2015-2055 for RPC 4.5 - a moderate warming scenario where emissions peak by 2040 and then decline steadily. This is estimated to produce the 2 degree Celcius warming target sought by the Paris Climate Agreement. Any amount of climate velocity represents exposure to climate change impacts to habitat. The magnitude of risk posed by climate change to areas increases with modelled climate velocity values.
