Typically this includes all National Forest System Roads, County/State/or other roads managed by public road agencies that provide access to National Forest System lands. The layer may also contain, but is not required, locations of Unauthorized Roads (A road that is not a forest road or trail or a temporary road or trail and that is not included in a forest transportation atlas), Temporary Roads (A road necessary for emergency operations or authorized by contract, permit, lease, or other written authorization that is not a forest road or trail and that is not included in a forest transportation atlas), and/or private roads if they are needed for resource analysis or display. Route measurements and route directions must correspond to those stored in the Infra Oracle table RTE_BASICS.
