Atlas of Global Conservation

About

A global perspective on  what’s where,  what’s at stake,  and what opportunities exist  for protecting the natural world.

In an unprecedented effort, Nature Conservancy scientists, in collaboration with governments, scientists and conservation organizations around the world, have compiled over 80 global maps describing the following in terrestrial, freshwater and marine habitats:

•          Habitats
•          Species
•          A World of Change
•          Taking Action

These are interactive versions of maps - and the data behind the maps - from the recently published The Atlas of Global Conservation. View them all in an integrated interactive web map at http://maps.tnc.org/globalmaps.html
Tags
conservation actions:, terrestrial, marine, protected areas, habitat loss & ecosystem modification, freshwater, biodiversity, ecoregions
