The Mountain Area Land Trust (MALT) is a non-profit land trust located in Evergreen, Colorado.
MALT has protected 20,411 acres of land since 1992, including 14,446 acres conserved in 64 private conservation easements through November 2013 and 5,965 acres protected through facilitated public projects.
Current MALT projects include:
1) Conservation on Pennsylvania Mountain Natural Area and an ancient bristlecone pine forest in Park County.
2) Initiating the Conservation Easement process with landowners in Evergreen, Conifer, Pine, Fairplay, Northern Jefferson County and beyond.
3) Implementing a new database system from a grant we received from the Colorado Coalition of Land Trust's Center of Excellence.
