About

The need for coordinated and science-driven decision-making is urgent in the Southern Sierra Nevada, where forests have been severely impacted by drought, fire, and tree mortality. The Sequoia Regional Partnership is working to apply GIS and spatial modeling to help plan efforts by multiple agencies to achieve resource-management goals such as wildfire resilience, habitat value, climate adaptation, and watershed quality.

Funding for this effort has been provided by Save the Redwoods League, Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park, and CAL FIRE.
