Description

Over the Fourth of July, we backpacked into the Italian Peaks. We parked at Deadman Lake, hiked up Deadman Creek and out Nicholia Creek. If you don't have a 4-wheel drive truck, start the hike at Nicholia Creek trailhead or you'll get stuck driving to Deadman Lake! No people were seen—only mountain goats, elk, deer, pikas, and birds.
