Description
This map incorporates data which is classified to percent forest tree canopy cover, from Landfire. This data is clipped to only areas which are mapped as Ponderosa Pine Ecological Systems in NatureServe's National Map of Ecological Systems, ver 3.0 (2014), within NatureServe's 2010 mapped species distribution range of each of four cavity nesting birds which use and breed in ponderosa pine habitat. These four birds are white-headed woodpecker (Picoides albolarvatus), flammulated owl (Otus flammeolus), Williamson's sapsucker (Sphyrapicus thyroideus), and Lewis' woodpecker (Melanerpes lewis). This data has been resampled from 30 meter to 60 meter pixel size. The four datasets are all symbolized the same way, using shades of green.
