Description
Explore climate change typicality and change in suitability for selected ecological systems occurring within the National Capital Region. The swiper (vertical bar) allows for comparison between observed and near future climate change exposure.

We analyzed climate change exposure for several ecological systems occurring within the National Capital Region by assessing (1) the degree to which climate is increasing or decreasing in suitability for those types and (2) the degree to which current (1980-2014) and near future (2011-2040) conditions are typical or novel when compared to a mid-century baseline (1948-1980). This map enables users to explore the exposure results by vegetation type.
