This map shows the expansion of human population and the effect on mule deer habitat. Now, it is weird that mule deer are shown on the west side of the state but the WDFW constitutes mule deer and black tail as the "same" depending on what side of the mountains they live. As we can see, mule deer or (black tail in this case) habitat is in danger.
