Description
This map contains results of a draft logic model aimed at depicting relative physical suitability for utility scale passive solar development. At a high level, high development suitability is defined by good terrain characteristics such as terrain and soil conditions, high proximity to existing road and transmission infrastructure, and to a lesser degree potential hazards (i.e., wildfire and earthquakes). Exclusions such as tribal lands, protected areas, and surface water and wetlands were also included. Please see the attachment that contains further detailed information on how the model was created in partnership with members of the solar industry community.
