High Intrinsic Potential Coho Salmon Stream Reaches and Conversion Potential - Chuong Pham

This map illustrates stream reaches with high intrinsic potential for coho salmon and areas of land threatened by land-use conversion. I overlapped the Conversion Threat Index database (Wilson et al, 2014) with USDA's database on stream reaches with high intrinsic value for coho salmon. If these lands are converted for human land-use, then it possible that these high value stream reaches will disappear and, subsequently, the salmon's ideal habitat to spawn and support salmonoids.
