RPS Calculator v6.1 Resource Potential Map

This is a map of solar and wind resource potential in California used to inform the supply curve of generic renewable energy resources in RPS Calculator version 6.1. The resources in the supply curve in the RPS Calculator are always constrained by the RETI Category 1 and other technology-specific criteria. The RPS Calculator 6.1 also includes two options for further constraining the supply curve. The "Environmental Baseline" option further excludes land meeting RETI Category 2 criteria. The "DRECP DFAs" option includes the RETI Category 2 exclusions and further excludes land within DRECP that is not in a DFA. The RETI Category 1, RETI Category 2, and DRECP DFA screens used are represented as layers in this map.
