Description
Roads provide motorized and non-motorized access to public lands for a variety of uses. Some of these roads have been closed or decommissioned to meet a wide range of resource and agency needs.
This map shows the level of access and status of BLM and Forest Service roads and areas identified by the Forest Service to be managed as roadless.  A new travel management plan for Forest Service lands is receiving public comments and is expected to be approved in February 2012.
