Pinchpoints v008 (Normalized)

Aug 4, 2017 (Last modified Mar 9, 2018)
Description:
This can be thought of as the relative priority of each cell with a path (i.e. pinchpoints). The higher priority cells for conservation are estimated here, and mapped in green.

Priority of a cell is based on circuit theory. We use the "current adjacent pairs" output from the Pinchpoint Mapper module of Linkage Mapper. We then normalize the values linearly between 0-1, and also in ranked order from 0 -1, and combine those outputs in an evenly weighted sum, shown here.

In future iterations, it would be good to also do this with the "All to one" output, and combine, or just use that output.

To see how this is used, and to see links to the reports diagrams, and presentations, see an output such as Connectivity for Modoc (w/Cores 0.6 - 1.0)
