VERSION: v008 ,with cores valued from 0.6 to 1.0 (July, 2017)
SUMMARY:To aid in the mapping of conservation values in the Modoc Plateau study area, we modeled structural connectivity (i.e. generic landscape pattern connectivity).
This comprised of a novel combination of least cost corridor outputs (Linkage Mapper), circuit theory (Circuitscape), and Linkage Priority Mapper (an Add-on to Linkage Mapper v2.0 beta) (Figure in the below linked Report).
We considered "climate-wise connectivity" that values linkages that connect core areas that have different climates (e.g. lowlands to mid-elevations), and that values linkages that connect cores that have a high amounts of climate refugia.
Input layers to this analysis are as follows:
Linkage priority is also a function of other variables than those that are "climate wise", such as the mean resistance of the linkage (i.e. permeability).
The three intermediate outputs of this analysis, which are combined, are as follows:
PARAMETER VALUES:
This layer has the core areas mapped, and valued from 0.6 to 1.
