Description:
This map displays the bioclimate envelopes occuring today within British Columbia. Climate envelopes represent the range of climate attributes for an individual location at a point in time. The viewer can understand the types of ecosystems that are currently associated with a particular type of climate. The spatial data are British Columbia's biogeoclimatic classification (Version 7) with modified classification and ecoprovince attribute values to enable a classification crosswalk with projected future climate envelope data.

Please refer to both the full report and technical methods appendix for detailed descriptions, methods and limitations of use for this layer.
