The datasets include the
initial condition SLAMM landcover map for the Grand Bay National Estuarine
Research Reserve (NERR) in 2009 which was derived from 2009 National Wetland
Inventory maps and was used for the Sea Level Rise Affecting Marsh Model
(SLAMM) version 6. The SLAMM version 6 technical document can be accessed at http://warrenpinacle.com/prof/SLAMM.
The datasets also show the
SLAMM landcover cateogories for the Grand Bay National Estuarine Research
Reserve (NERR) in 2025, 2050, 2075, and 2100 derived from the Sea Level Rise
Affecting Marsh Model (SLAMM) version 6. The model used the 1 meter of
sea-level rise by 2100 scenario and was produced by Warren Pinnacle Consulting,
Inc. for the Nature Conservancy. The purpose of this map was to show how
marshes are predicted to migrate inland due to increases in sea level by 2100.
The SLAMM model produced landcover maps for 5 points in time for this specific
sea level rise scenario, which included the starting point in 2009 and
predicted landcover maps for 2025, 2050, 2075 and 2100. The SLAMM version 6
technical document can be accessed at http://warrenpinacle.com/prof/SLAMM.
